More than 1 million websites closed down in China Saturday, 16 July 2011 06:33 Domain News Tweet Share 1.3 million websites have been closed down in China last year .This means that here were 41 percent fewer websites in China at the end of last year than in 2009 . This might have happened because Chinese officials have tightened regulations on the Internet in recent years . However,despite the declining number of sites,the number of webpages had a 79 percent increase on the previous year .
