Bill Clinton spoke at the Arizona State University , alongside Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales ; they both doubted the benefits of such a change. Not holding back his words, Clinton stated that a global oversight system will in fact enable governments to impose a stronghold on the Internet and gag all freedom of speech: “I understand in theory why we should have a multi-stakeholder process…I just know that a lot of these so-called stakeholders are really governments that want to gag people, and restrict access to the Internet.” For the discussion video that includes Bill Clinton, click here.
