.ORG Seventh TLD To Pass Ten Millionth Registration Milestone

There are now ten million .ORG domain names registered the Public Interest Registry (PIR) has announced, with the milestone passed on 24 June. The not-for-profit operator of the .ORG domain announced that the milestone was reached with the registration of JADFORUM.ORG, registered with Go Daddy, by the Jordan River and Dead Sea Basin Forum (JAD). JAD is an organisation dedicated to advancing the sustainable and regional development of the Jordan River and Dead Sea Basin watershed shared by Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority. The milestone is significant and makes it the seventh TLD to pass the magic number. First was .COM, which now has around 103.7 million active registrations or domains under management.
