#ICANN to Hold Public Meeting in Durban, South Africa in July 2013

ICANN 's Board of Directors approved Durban, South Africa, as the location for ICANN 's 47th Public Meeting to be held 14-19 July 2013. Three times a year, ICANN hosts a meeting in a different geographic region of the world. The .ZA Domain Name Authority submitted the proposal to host ICANN 47 in South Africa, in response to a call for location recommendations posted on 25 April 2011. Various parties sent a proposal to ICANN , and staff evaluated each, ultimately making the recommendation for South Africa. Read the Board Resolution 2012.08.28.05
