This premise is the reason lots of people buy and have bought typo domain names over the years. Some misspelled domain names get a lot of traffic because the words and websites they represent are so popular and oft-searched for by regular web users. However, I find it interesting to see people intentionally use the misspelling of a word for the domain name to build their website on. I am biased as dnxpert.com is a misspelling of dnexpert (which I also own, after acquiring it some 2 years after launching dnxpert.com).
