Microsoft awarded domain name in dispute: An arbitrator with the National Arbitration Forum...

An arbitrator with the National Arbitration Forum has awarded the domain name Microsoft-China to Micosofot .The company submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum on August 22,2012 ,asserting legal rights over the disputed domain name . Microsoft Corporation owns many trademark registrations for the "Microsoft" mark.Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar with its trademark .The company also contended and managed to demonstrate that the respondent has no rights or legitimate interests and that the respondent registered and used the domain name in bad faith . The Panel decided that Microsoft has established all the elements required under the ICANN Policy and,therefore ordered the disputed domain name to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
