Donuts has recently made public the $70 million offer to purchase Rightside’ s new TLD name business. According to Donuts, this offer was made known to the public due to Rightside’ s lack of attention over the past approaches. And probably this is a strategy to put pressure on the company to accept the offer. It seems that Rightside investor J. Carlo Cannell attempt to deprive of the company of its less performing TLDs and concentrate on its registrar business did not go so well. Most of the shareholders sustained the company at their last shareholder meeting. This time the luck was not on his side. Depending on how it is viewed, this year could be or not a successful one for Rightside.
