domain name sells for $650,000

.UK domain name is one of the biggest public sales of the year. The domain name Furniture.co.uk has sold for $650,000. Buyer Graham Haynes issued a release last week announcing his purchase of the domain name through Sedo domain name broker Dave Evanson. Haynes’ release said the purchase was $700,000, but I verified the story and found that it was actually $650,000. Either way, it’s a staggering amount of money for a .uk domain name. Haynes said he previously purchased BedroomFurniture.co.uk for about $60,000 and it’s now a $7-million-a-year business. His company also recently purchased Purple.co.uk for £108,000 . Haynes will also get rights to the second level domain name Furniture.uk. Tweet Email Learn more...
