One morning Mike saw an advertisement on his registrar’s website that offered free email hosting with the purchase of one of the new domain extensions. In order to corner the market for his business, Mike decided to move forward and take advantage of the free email. After completing the transaction, he noticed he was charged for the email hosting even though the advertisement said it was free with registration! Mike double checked his purchase to make sure he registered a new domain extension. As the transaction was in a 5 day window where he was supposedly eligible for a refund, he promptly reached out to support to request a refund. By the next morning, Mike realized his registrar never replied to his email. He decided to call support.
