The EPA let

The EPA spent your tax dollars to fix a mistake it make with NoAttacks.org. Here’s a good example if you want to get a feel for how the federal government can work. For about 15 years, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency used the domain name NoAttacks.org for an anti-asthma campaign. In late 2015 it inadvertently let the domain name expire. The domain name was deleted in early 2016 and picked up by another party. Apparently, the EPA just realized this earlier this year. In March, it filed a cybersquatting complaint against the current owner of the domain name. A National Arbitration Forum panel has agreed with the EPA and ordered the domain name transferred back to the U.S. government. Beauracracy might be slow, but you’d think it would be good at simple things like renewing domain names.
