Protecting Domains with Kathy Kleiman – DNW Podcast #174 https://t.co/iyIZJfdZkC

Back in the 1990s, the Domain Name Rights Coalition was formed to represent domain name owners against overhanded trademark interests. Today, that organization was reborn. Our guest today, Kathy Kleiman, was one of the founders of the organization and played an instrumental role in shaping the UDRP so that it wasn’t as one-sided in favor of trademark holders. A lot of domain name owners gripe about how unfair UDRP can be but they might be surprised to learn that it was almost a lot worse. Learn what happened in the late 1990s and what is happening now with the review of UDRP and other rights protection mechanisms. Also: easy Adsense, a bespoke domain name, a big inspection and how registrars can win domainers.
