Brit.Co Bought For $4,750, Gets $6.3 Million In Funding Including Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer

I like Brit.co. I’ve been watching it for awhile now, and this is no surprise. Content is the important thing. But coming up with good content is difficult and takes a lot of time to produce. As someone who has owned a number of popular websites since the ’90s, I’ve always been interested in the ‘domainer’ mindset… even though I’ve never sold a domain name. But that’s because I’m doing just fine with sponsors and advertising. I see many people thinking they can get $##### for a certain domain name, but if they developed it, they’d get a much more reliable income source, which when calculated over the years (or even just a few months in some cases), would bring them much more money than simply selling a name. Of course, you can’t just slap a website together, it requires a lot of work and creativity. And therein lies the problem for many people. Brit.co is a good example of...
