Your Father’s Internet: ICANN pushes for a shift in “the future of Internet governance in the world”

The government announced on Monday (18) that you want to accomplish, in April 2014, a meeting to discuss global issues involving the internet, including the right to privacy and freedom of expression on the net, which arise after the revelations made by spy U.S. government and allied countries. According to Communications Minister Paulo Bernardo, the Brazilian government wants the meeting to take place between the 23th and 24th of April, in São Paulo, and involving representatives of governments, companies and civil society. According to Bernardo, the U.S. government has been invited to participate. The meeting will serve a “broad discussion” about the future of Internet governance in the world.
