According to the web site: “.College is an unrestricted, generic platform for people and organizations of all types to come together for a common purpose and common future” Trademark holders will have an exclusive opportunity to register dot .College domain names bearing their marks; the Sunrise period lasts from March 17 to April 17. After a short break, domain college hopefuls will continue with Landrush , that applies only to Universities, from April 20 to September 22. A Public priority registration period will follow, from September 22 to September 28, and the doors of dot .College will open to all on September 29th, with General Availability.
