Did Google Buy Wallet.com?

Domain name changes hands; Google is a possible buyer. Did Google buy the domain name Wallet.com for its new Google Wallet service? World Media Group, LLC owned the domain name until the end of March. Then on April 1 the domain name was registered under privacy protection but at CSC, a corporate brand management firm and domain name registrar. Yesterday the whois information for the domain name changed to DNStinations, a group that frequently registers domain names on behalf of large companies — including Google. It would make sense for Google to buy the domain name. However, it seems odd that it would do it through DNStinations since Google Wallet is now public. It should have been registered directly to Google. But keep an eye on this one — I suspect we’ll find out if Google was the buyer shortly.
