GoDaddy.com Sponsors WSOP In 2011 + Domain Registrations

GoDaddy.com and the World Series Of Poker have announced that GoDaddy.com will be the Premier Sponsor for the series in 2011. WSOP PR announced June 8, 2011. To back this up, GoDaddy went on a little domain name shopping spree to cover some bases (defensive registrations) and registered the domain names: GoDaddySponsorsWsop.com GodaddyWorldSeriesOfPoker.com GoDaddyWsop.com They also grabbed the .net/.org/.biz/.info/.us of the above domain names. Why they waited until 6/14/2011 (6 days after the public announcement) to register the domain names, I’m not sure. The domain names currently forward to http://videos.godaddy.com/bowl.aspx which has nothing to do with poker… and is the page used for the GoDaddy Bowl (college football) another event that GoDaddy sponsors.
